Juli is a Jack Russell/Dachshund mix and she weighs around 20 lbs. She was found as a stray and was not claimed. Juli gets along with cats and dogs but she is not comfortable with children so her ideal forever home is child free. Juli is full of energy and is best suited for a family who wants to keep her busy.

She is very smart and benefits from obedience training as it keeps her busy little brain occupied and out of trouble. She is currently preparing for a tricks class, after which she will be able to show off all her new talents.

Juli can come off a little excited and vocal upon first meeting strangers and so she is looking for a family who will know how to help her meet people appropriately. She prefers people ignore her and talk to the people around her, giving her the opportunity to sniff around and get to know you in a non confrontational way. Once comfortable with a human, Juli is very sweet and affectionate; however, her family will need to understand that she is looking for a more active family that she can relax with AFTER some doggy brain work. Juli would excel in agility and/or obedience training.

Juli wears a harness on walks and when not trying to get in front of another dog she is walking with, she can walk quite well on a leash.

Juli is up to date on all her shots and has been spayed. If you are looking for a dog who will make all your friend’s dogs jealous because she is so smart and talented….Juli is your girl!

If you have additional questions or are interested in adopting, please fill out an adoption application. Once we receive your application someone will be in touch to answer your questions.

We do not arrange visits to meet dogs without an application. If you'd like to meet a variety of dogs without filling out an application please attend one of our events, listed under the events link.
