Sweet Pixie came from a breeding situation so adapting to a new life of freedom in a loving household has been very new for her.  Because she knew nothing but raising babies to make income for the breeders, she sometimes spends time gathering up all the dog toys and placing them in a "nest" to mother them.  Cute, but sad, too.

Pixie is ready to move on to the next phase of transitioning to her new life -- a home of her very own. She is ready to start exploring new environments slowly and safely.  Pixie seems more outgoing and comfortable when she's outside enjoying time in the fenced yard, exploring the yard with her canine companions.  She enjoys the company of other dogs so feels more comfortable and safer with other friendly canines in the home.  She also lives with a cat.  Pixie's foster Mom and Dad say she likes to cuddle; she snuggles up and sleeps with them at night. 

Won't you consider adding Pixie to your heart and home?  She is spayed, up to date with vaccines, and on monthly flea/tick/heartworm meds.

Applications are the first step in the adoption process. Please do not call or email simply to express interest. We are all volunteers and receiving your application saves us time and helps to determine the best match for both people and dogs. 

We provide as much information as we currently have on each dog in their description. For questions on the adoption process, including fees, please review the Adoption page. If you have additional questions or are interested in adopting, please fill out an adoption application. Once we receive your application someone will be in touch to answer your questions.
 
We do not arrange visits to meet dogs without an application. If you'd like to meet a variety of dogs without filling out an application please attend one of our events, listed under the events link.
