Pug / Australian Cattle Dog/Blue Heeler / Mixed : : Male (neutered) : : Adult : : Small Learn more about the Pug. Learn more about the Australian Cattle Dog/Blue Heeler.
Shawn has been a very good boy in the short time he has been in his foster home. He is very well housetrained and has not had any accidents or done any marking in the house. He takes treats gently and has not been aggressive about food or toys with the other dogs in the home. He takes correction from humans very seriously. A simple ah-ah, is all it takes to stop him. He will chase cats if they look like they'll run, but if they sit still, he walks right by.
He does not seem to be leash or crate trained. He is excited when he sees the leash come out, so he probably was walked, but never learned to walk on a loose leash. At times he is quiet in the crate, especially when he can see everything that's going on, but he does not like to be left alone for long. He rode quietly in a crate on the way home from the vet.
He lies quietly in the kitchen while meals are being prepared and does not beg from the table or try to reach anything on the counter. He has not chewed anything inappropriately nor did he dig to get out of the fenced yard. He should not be left alone in the yard, however, if something irresistible caught his attention there's not much doubt he would try to get to it.
He has an adorable face with a cute way of tilting his head when you talk to him. He's a mellow little dog, but would love to run with someone after he's healed from his neutering.
