Howie is a very sweet hound mix.  His age is approximated between 5-6 years old.  He is neutered and housetrained.   He can be a bit shy but is easily won over with treats.  Howie will sit and do anything for "food"!   He came to us at 35 pounds, is presently around 50 pounds, and is still a bit  underweight.  Howie lives with two other dogs and has lived with cats in the past and was fine with them.  

Howie would prefer not to be around very young children; they seem to make him nervous and uncomfortable. 

This guy just melts your heart with his big sad eyes.

We do not arrange visits to meet dogs without an application. If you'd like to meet a variety of dogs without filling out an application please attend one of our events, listed under the events link.
