Lumbee is a 2 year old Chihuahua. He may be a mix, we're not sure about that, but we do know he is a tiny little guy at 12 pounds and sweet and affectionate as can be.
He is in a foster home with other dogs and a cat. He is playful and likes to play with the other younger dog there, the older ones aren't nearly as interesting. He is fine with the big dog that comes to visit and doesn't chase the cat. He may take a bit to warm up to a new person, but after he does, he'll be ready to warm your lap indefinitely. He is fed in his crate in his present situation, but does sleep in bed with mom and the other dogs. She reports he is a good little kisser and will paw for attention. He is a little excitable on leash---there are just SO many interesting things to look at and see and do when you're outside! That's probably the reason that a little work is needed on housetraining, he does seem to do better and take care of business outside when he goes out with another dog. With a bit of time and consistency, he'll get it figure out. He is neutered and up-to-date on vaccines and heartworm preventative (as are all our dogs). He'd love a forever home with a lap to warm and maybe another canine companion.
