The Pearl is the GEM of Queens and the QUEEN of Gems!
JUNE IS THE MONTH OF THE PEARL Our Sweet Pearl E is definitely a GEM. She came to us as a stray who was in pretty sad shape. Pearl couldn't take a step without stopping to bite and scratch at herself. Her tail and hind quarters were oozing from irritation (most likely caused by fleas). She had obviously had multiple litters of puppies. Her age is just approximate. She is listed as 5 years old--but now we believe she is much younger. If only she could talk. Pearl is so well behaved and perfectly housetrained. We assume Pearl had a family who loved her at one time and spent time training her. A large mass was found in her left ear; this was removed when she was spayed. Pearl enjoyed her baths (prior to spaying) and stood quietly to have her nails clipped. Pearl is currently recovering from her spay and ear mass removal and we are awaiting a biopsy report. Gentle and sweet, Pearl is living in a small pack of dogs where she is doing well. Pearl would most likely enjoy being an only dog. Although, she is not dog aggressive, she has shown no real desire to play with her furry foster family. Boy, does she like her toys! Especially balls. Repeatedly, dropping a ball into her human's lap, she will retrieve and return for long periods. She is occasionally allowed off leash in a safe area on her foster's property and she always comes when called. Pearl Likes: Rides in the car, walks on leash, playing ball, and being petted. Oh Yes - she likes to eat, too! Because we have NO history on this good girl, a home with small children is not recommended. She is very responsive and kind to her foster's grandchildren. Pearl will make the right person or family an awesome, loyal companion. She will return your love and care 10 fold. Pearl is on flea/tick/heartworm prevention.
