Do you love boxers?

Do you have lots of love, time, and patience for a shy girl?

If your answer to these questions is a resounding YES, YES, then maybe our girl Peggy Sue would fit into your life and home.

Peggy came to us from KY.  She was rescued from a house where she was living alone with 17 cats because her "owner" went to jail.  She is painfully shy and fearful--but not a fear biter!  When she trusts you, her little stubby tail wags her whole butt and she will cuddle in your arms.  KY rescue sent her to H2H because they knew we would place her in a loving foster home and find the PERFECT HOME for her.  Are you that PERFECT HOME?

Born without a kneecap on her back leg, Peggy walks (and RUNS) on three legs.  Her crippled leg is NOT useless.  She uses it for stability when necessary. Our vet does NOT recommend amputation because she USES the leg and is in NO pain.  This girl can RUN and she often gets the ZOOMIES in her foster's fenced yard.  (A fenced in yard is preferable for Peggy).

Weighing in between 45-50 pounds, Peggy Sue is small enough to help her gain access to a car, couch, bed, etc.  Typically, she has not needed any assistance with these activities.

She loves her stuffies, peanut butter stuffed kongs/bones.  She is completely housetrained but will go on a pee pad if you are not there to take her out.  Peggy loves o snuggle. She is fearful of men, but given enough patience and coaxing with great treats, she does come around. Little folks may freak her out--but we assume she'd do okay with older respectful children.  Peggy LOVES to gnaw on safe chews (likes pig ears).  She will go into a crate--but her foster has never locks the door and Peggy has chosen to sleep on the bed in her spare room.  On stormy nights, her foster mom sleeps with her.  :)

Peggy is spayed, up to date with vaccines, and on monthly flea/tick/heartworm prevention.

She will do best in a quieter home, preferably with a fenced yard, with someone who isn't gone 8 hours a day.  Preently, she lives with another older dog and 6 cats.

Please consider giving Peggy a loving home where she can gain confidence and live a happy, carefree life like the boxr she was meant to be.....
