Rescue ~ Rehab ~ Rehome

My name is Rex and I am a beautiful sable 2 year old neutered shepherd/border collie mix.  I really look more like a minature shepherd - I weigh 35 pounds and I am a very happy boy.  I am sweet. friendly, and I am very outgoing.  I just want to please and will look to my new owners for training and love.  I am very smart and learn quickly.  I have lived on a farm with my brother Remy and our owners have never had time to work with us and train us.  However, I know how to sit and shake hands.  I have not been trained to walk on a leash but I did quite nicely for the lady who evaluated me.  I never ride in the car either--but I settle down right away and would like to go for more car rides.  I just love attention and will be very loyal to my new owners.  My brother was already adopted and he is doing great.  Now it's my turn for a forever home.  I miss my brother; my owner keeps me in a kennel because if I am outside I may wander away from the farm and they are afraid I'll get hurt.  I really don't want to be in a kennel--I need more exercise than I am getting and I love attention.  I want someone who will take me for walks and play with me. Are you my special forever companion?

Applications are the first step in the adoption process. Please do not call or email simply to express interest. We are all volunteers and receiving your application saves us time and helps to determine the best match for both people and dogs. 

We provide as much information as we currently have on each dog in their description. For questions on the adoption process, including fees, please review the Adoption page. If you have additional questions or are interested in adopting, please fill out an adoption application. Once we receive your application someone will be in touch to answer your questions.
 
We do not arrange visits to meet dogs without an application. If you'd like to meet a variety of dogs without filling out an application please attend one of our events, listed under the events link.
