Holly, a black lab mix, is approximately 1 1/2 year old and is a sweet bundle of energy.

Holly has a sweet disposition with an obvious amount of high energy. She loves the water, and even drinks from a water hose when used as a water fountain. She displays no signs of aggression, in fact a person can put their fingers near her mouth as she is eating and she is careful not to bite or harm. She seems to have a desire to please.

Holly loves to play tag. She transitions from play to obedience very quickly. She has learned to retrieve a ball and is learning how to drop a stick when commanded. She has learned to follow numerous voice commands and a couple non-verbal commands. Holly is a wonderful companion dog, many times she will walk along side without a leash. She enjoys going for rides in the car.

Holly has not demonstrated any aggression towards the host family’s outdoor cat.  When running un-leashed she may disappear into a wooded lot to follow a scent trail, but always returns in a minute or two.

Holly is currently living in a rural farm setting and does well without a leash. She is crate trained.  Holly knows her name and wags her tail when she hears it.

Holly enjoys the company of other dogs, but often times gets carried away with play.   Since Holly has come far in her obedience training, a good handler/owner/leader should be able to control Holly's tendency to get carried away during playtime.  She is not aggressive--just very excited and energetic.

Holly is hoping for a loving forever home this Fall.  Will you make Holly's wish come true?
