Zoey, is a 4-5 year old min pin, a sweet little girl who has had her share of ups and downs in life. She appeared in a rural area as a very thin stray that no one was looking for.   She spent a few months in a home that overfed her and did not take advantage of what a bright little girl she is. They  allowed her to make her own decision and did not provide leadership for her.  She was renamed "Zoey" (formerly Anika) when she came to our foster program needing some rehab time.  After a month or so, her foster mom reports that she is becoming a well-adjusted dog, "her very best sweet little self."  She is very food oriented, but is being trained with praise and affection.  She loves vegetables in addition to her regular diet and is trimming down again.  She is a cuddle bug and likes to get under her blankets to nap or sleep.  She gets along with other small dogs and tolerates cats well.  Zoey is housetrained and goes to the door when it's potty time. She would be a devoted lifetime companion in an adults only home.

Zoey was recently diagnosed with epilepsy and is on medication.  She is doing very well.  Phenobarb is an inexpensive medication and dogs with epilepsy usually do very well on it.
