Fern is an adorable, 6 month old, friendly, 8 pound, Chi/Papillon mix. She came from a family who became homeless and were not able to care for her. She arrived at her foster home after being vetted (spayed and vaccines) and did fine with the dogs and cats there. She thought the husband was OK too, but quickly began following her foster mom around like a little duckling. She has never had a collar on, so leash training and house training will be in the works. In addition to being SWEET, she is a smart little girl and will pick it up in no time!
Applications are the first step in the adoption process. Please do not call or email simply to express interest. We are all volunteers and receiving your application saves us time and helps to determine the best match for both people and dogs.

We do not arrange visits to meet dogs without an application. If you'd like to meet a variety of dogs without filling out an application please attend one of our events, listed under the events link.
