Rescue ~ Rehab ~ Rehome

Fara is a 5 1/2 year old Dachshund who was used for breeding. She weighs 12 pounds. She is doing well with house training and lives in a multi-dog foster home where she is learning to use the doggie door. She enjoys the company of her many canine friends. Fara loves to cuddle with her foster mom and sleep under the covers.

Because Fara led a sheltered life, a home without small children would be preferable. Fara prefers women; probably because her caretaker at the kennel was a woman. She loves to be held and cuddled. (Did we mention that she REALLY likes to cuddle?!)

Fara will do best with a female owner(s) and with canine companions (she likes both boy and girl dogs). She would probably do fine with a man in the house as long as he didn't care if she liked him or not.

Fara is ready to come home with you. If you want an awesome companion -- she is waiting to be someone’s special little girl!!

Applications are the first step in the adoption process. Please do not call or email simply to express interest. We are all volunteers and receiving your application saves us time and helps to determine the best match for both people and dogs. 

We provide as much information as we currently have on each dog in their description. We do not arrange visits to meet dogs without an application. If you'd like to meet a variety of dogs without filling out an application please attend one of our events, listed under the events link.
