Oreo is a 6 year old Bernese Mountain Dog who is looking for a home that likes big and fluffy dogs. He is a cuddlier and will rest his head in your lap while you brush his beautiful coat. He doesn't know what a stranger is and everyone is his friend. A little bit of obedience training and this sweet soul has the potential to be a therapy dog.

While he is currently being fostered with other dogs, he can be a bit much for some dogs. Old, grumpy, or snappy dogs may struggle to handle his bouncy nature. Therefore, a meet and greet between dogs must be done before applications can be approved.  Also, cats are a big NO.  Oreo is wonderful with kids, but he could knock over little ones, so please consider that. He is housetrained, but is not crate trained. While he prefers to be inside - especially in this heat - Oreo is a flight risk, so when outside he must be on leash or in a secure, physical fenced yard.

Due to his breed, we are expecting a high volume of applications. We ask for your patience as we process applications. Applicants living in close proximity will be given priority.

Click here for the ADOPTION APPLICATION if you are interested in adopting this pet.

Applications are the first step in the adoption processPlease do not call or email simply to express interest. We are all volunteers and receiving your application saves us time and helps to determine the best match for both people and dogs.

We provide as much information as we currently have on each dog in their description. For questions on the adoption process, including fees, please review the Adoption page. If you have additional questions or are interested in adopting, please fill out an adoption application. Once we receive your application someone will be in touch to answer your questions.

We do not arrange visits to meet dogs without an application. If you'd like to meet a variety of dogs without filling out an application please attend one of our events, listed under the events link.

 Thank you!
