Extra Large Cuddle Bug

Leia Jessie is a two year old black female newfoundland.  She is spayed and up to date with vaccinations and on flea/tick/heartworm prevention.  Leia is also microchipped.  Leia was released from a breeding facility where she was considered too small for their Newfoundland breeding program.  Leia is housetrained and is working on leash and crate training in her foster home.  She loves people, dogs and cats.  She is like a sponge when training because she is such a people pleaser.  She often accompanies her foster mom to work where she gets to socialize with many other dogs throughout the day. 

Leia sleeps quietly in her crate at night.  She loves treats and toys but is not possessive of them. 

Before applying for this sweet girl, please keep in mind that she is an extra large dog.  She could easily knock over children or smaller animals without meaning to do so.  Her coat is long and needs routine maintenance or it will easily become matted and be very painful for her.   If you don't mind hair on your clothes, floors, or furniture and you are looking for a loving, loyal companion, then Leia Jessie IS the girl for you.

We do not arrange visits to meet dogs without an application. If you'd like to meet a variety of dogs without filling out an application please attend one of our events, listed under the events link.
