Rascal is a one-year old male, neutered cocker spaniel.  He is obedient, but could use some work on his leash skills.  Rascal has found himself looking for a new home due to his separation anxiety and fear of confinement.  Before you apply for Rascal – please do your research on Separation Anxiety.

In Rascal's foster home, he is working on overcoming his separation anxiety, and he does better uncrated in the company of other calm, comfortable dogs.

Rascal is friendly (to a fault), playful, and energetic.  He gets along with other dogs and cats, and knows many obedience cues.  He loves to play with toys and hang out with his people.

If you have the time, patience, and expertise to help Rascal work on overcoming his separation anxiety issues - please consider taking his delightful boy into your home for adoption.  Please note – only serious interest will be considered for a meet and greet.

Rascal has made significant progress during his time in foster care, and we want to see him continue his progress, but overcoming separation anxiety can take a long time and a lot of dedication and patience.  We think this young dog is worth it.  He's a great little companion and friend and really has no other issues.  He just needs someone who can work to help him overcome his anxieties about being alone.

The ideal home for Rascal will need:  (1) People who are home the majority of the time, (2) at least one other calm, friendly dog, and (3) a fenced-in yard.  Only homes with all three will be considered.
