Lexi is an adult chihuahua. Age estimates vary from 7 or 8 to over 10 years. Her teeth look good and she certainly seems more on the younger side. She came into rescue when her owner had to go to a nursing home. Lexi was a little overweight and since these photos were taken, has trimmed up a bit in her foster home. She is becoming more playful and energetic. She has lived with other dogs and enjoys playing with Muffie, who also came from the same home. She is fine with cats. In typical Chi style, she has become very devoted to her foster mom, who is encouraging others to interact with her, she is not snippy, just a little shy. She is awaiting a forever home where she can devote herself to a Chi-loving person to love and pamper her.
Applications are the first step in the adoption process. Please do not call or email simply to express interest. We are all volunteers and receiving your application saves us time and helps to determine the best match for both people and dogs.

We do not arrange visits to meet dogs without an application. If you'd like to meet a variety of dogs without filling out an application please attend one of our events, listed under the events link.
