Tate is a 6 year old Pug/Collie Mix. Tate's family needs to relinquish him due to the bad economy. They hope someone will adopt Tate and give him the love and care that he deserves. He is good with children and other dogs. He walks nicely on a leash, knows basic commands, likes car rides, enjoys a bath, and remains in his own yard without a fence. He is house broken. Even though he is overweight, Tate can be very playful. Unfortunately, poor Tate was recently attacked by two neighborhood dogs who nearly killed him when they came into his yard. Thankfully, he is recovering from facial surgery. Tate has lost 10 pounds but it still a little overweight at 40 pounds. Tate is hoping someone will look past his exterior and see his warm heart which he is ready to give to a loving "forever" family.
Applications are the first step in the adoption process. Please do not call or email simply to express interest. We are all volunteers and receiving your application saves us time and helps to determine the best match for both people and dogs.

We do not arrange visits to meet dogs without an application. If you'd like to meet a variety of dogs without filling out an application please attend one of our events, listed under the events link.
