Introducing the irresistible Rusty Rue (RR)! Coming from a breeding facility, Rusty Rue’s first three years were not the best and the little guy is working hard to make up for lost time. Day by day he is expanding his comfort zone. RR can now claim to be a good traveler; preferring to curl up in a ball and enjoy the ride in the seat next to yours. Ever the explorer, RR now goes for leash walks. Though he still does not want to be the leader of the pack, Rusty Rue easily can walk a mile. As the new guy to a pack of dogs that are big, small, young, old, male and female, he easily and quickly made friends. Ever the gentleman he has chosen a girlfriend who is three times his size. He is devoted to her. This boy has some very specific needs that his lucky adopter should be prepared to provide. First Rusty Rue will require at least one other friendly, well adjusted dog to share the limelight. He needs a fenced in yard and and the use of a doggie door where he can let himself in and out. RR is still hand shy and needs someone to love and encourage him as he continues to trust people. Even through his fear of humans, he has not once shown any aggression towards men, women or children. He spends time cuddle training each day where the sweet boy has learned to relax in a warm lap and enjoy a nice massage. Rusty Rue now prefers sleeping in bed with his humans though he can be made to spend time in a crate if needed. If you think you would like to be considered to continue Rusty Rue’s journey, please apply today at Haven to Home Canine Rescue.
