Olive is a gorgeous black and white mix. Although, we were told she is a doodle, her haircoat has us questioning her DNA. If you are looking for a non-shedding dog--Olive most likely will shed some hair. She is spayed and up to date with vaccines. Unfortunately, she has been in two different homes in her short life due to no fault of her own. Her first owner gave her up because they started a human family, and the most recent family moved to a new home that won't allow pets.
Olive never had an owner who worked with her on manners and training so she can be overly zealous when meeting new people. She is learning to walk better on leash. She is typically free in the house but does like to put herself into a crate when she needs personal space. Olive can be timid at first. She has never been allowed to be off leash and is immensely enjoying being able to run off leash at her foster home. However, her foster believes that to be off leash safely, a fenced yard is highly recommended as Olive would chase cars if the opportunity presents itself. Olive is living in a home with other dogs and has shown NO food or toy aggression. In fact, her foster mom says she doesn't think Olive knows what a toy is - which is quite sad given she's only a little over three years old. She is a very sweet girl who needs a home that will commit to her for life. Olive may be a poodle mix of some sort (we were told labradoodle) so she will need to be groomed regularly. Please apply if you have dog experience, will commit to training, and will provide exercise and love for this sweet girl. Olive is on monthly heartworm/flea/tick/prevention.
