Yager is a male Border Collie/Australian Shepherd mix born in 2019. H2H was told he is good with children, cats and other dogs but there are no other dogs/cats/children in his current foster home to confirm this. Typically, Yager's breed is known to be very energetic, but he seems to be completely content without canine companions, preferring to be a couch potato. Yager walks nicely on a leash; when off-leash he seems to have a good recall. When left alone in he house and not crated, he has had accidents. Shy, and underconfident, Yager tends to avoid things that make him uncomfortable. He will need a patient owner who will slowly expose him to new environments and social situations to help build his confidence and help him to be a well-rounded companion. Up to now, he not been totally comfortable on car rides. Yager has not been destructive in the house and has little interest in bones or toys; he would likely be a submissive dog if there were other canines in the house. When crated, he does well.
Yager is neutered, up to date with vaccinations, and is on monthly heartworm/flea/tick preventatives.
