Though there is no such thing as “good hoarding” there are certainly degrees of “bad”. Lefty came from a very bad outdoor hoarding situation in Kentucky. Despite being crated in a “doggie slum”, this boy is the epitome of happiness as he jaunts merrily around his new and very improved home! With Leftie's history, one would think he would not trust people; but, this is not the case. Lefty came in friendly to all (4 legged and 2 legged). This little man can walk the distance with his short little legs going as far and as fast as you have time to walk. He does have a strong prey instinct and will be only to happy to clear your fenced-in-yard of rabbits, squirrels or chipmunks. Did we say he can climb trees - although, we wouldn't encourage him to do so. LOL Lefty is quick to respond to verbal corrections. He taught himself how to go in and out of the doggie door in minutes. This little guy is happy and friendly meeting new people or dogs. When cat and kid tested, he passed with flying colors. Leftie loves to go for car rides and is treat motivated. Lefty is a Chiweenie. (Chihuahua/Dachshund) The best guess for his age is three years. He is brown with black and he has big erect ears. Amazingly, with my help in making sure that he goes out frequently, he has been clean in the house with few accidents. If you think Lefty might be the righty dog for you, apply to Haven to Home Dog Rescue. If you have questions please email his foster mom at margaretwilliamsharvey@gmail.com.
