Sandy is a beautiful 3 year old female Golden Retriever. Her previous owner said she is a social butterfly and was a Daddy’s girl. Sandy is housetrained, and knows basic obedience commands like sit, down, hug, and come. She is very playful and likes to play fetch. Sandy seems to get along fine with other dogs. She is a happy go lucky, friendly dog who thinks she is a lap dog. Her foster parents say she has nice manners, eats well, likes to go for walks and cuddles up with her foster Dad. Sandy will be forever grateful if someone would adopt her and love her forever.

Sandy cannot go to a home with children under 12 years of age due to a past problem with biting 2 small children. The incidents happened one year apart and with children that did not live with her. She very much loved the child she lived with and never showed any aggression towards him. We believe these incidents were isolated cases, but because of the serious consequences that can occur with a dog bite we want to make that Sandy is not put in a situation where she feels the need to defend herself or "her child".

We do not arrange visits to meet dogs without an application. If you'd like to meet a variety of dogs without filling out an application please attend one of our events, listed under the events link.
