Meet Oakley – The Sweetest Chocolate Love Bug

Say hello to Oakley, a stunning 1-year-old chocolate Labrador who’s as sweet as she is beautiful! This big girl (around 80 lbs of pure love) has a heart just as big as her paws.

Oakley is an affectionate, people-oriented pup who adores being near her humans. She’s a world-class cuddler and would happily spend her days snuggled up with you or tagging along on any adventure. Oakley can be a bit hesitant when meeting new people, but once she’s had a little time to warm up, her friendly and loving personality shines right through.

She’s done well living with other dogs but doesn’t necessarily need a canine buddy to be happy — her true joy comes from spending time with her family. Oakley has lived with toddlers in the past and loves being around children.

This girl is smart and eager to please! She’s currently working on improving her leash manners (she’s a strong girl!) and is making great progress with housetraining — consistency and routine will help her master it in no time. Oakley can be crated if needed but would much prefer to be out where she can see and be near her people.

Her favorite activities include:

  • Playing fetch and tug

  • Exploring the outdoors

  • Getting all the love and attention you can give

If you’re looking for a loyal, affectionate companion who will fill your home with love (and maybe a little slobber), Oakley might just be your perfect match!

Oakley is spayed, up to date on all vaccines and is on monthly flea/tick/heartworm preventatives.

IMPORTANT - PLEASE READ

Click here for the ADOPTION APPLICATION if you are interested in adopting this pet.

Applications are the first step in the adoption processPlease do not call or email simply to express interest. We are all volunteers and receiving your application saves us time and helps to determine the best match for both people and dogs.

We provide as much information as we currently have on each dog in their description. For questions on the adoption process, including fees, please review the Adoption page. If you have additional questions or are interested in adopting, please fill out an adoption application. Once we receive your application someone will be in touch to answer your questions.

We do not arrange visits to meet dogs without an application. If you'd like to meet a variety of dogs without filling out an application please attend one of our events, listed under the events link.

 Thank you!
