Sadie is a sweet 4 1/2 year old Sheltie Boxer mix. She is coming into rescue because of severe allergies in the family. Sadie is a little overweight, but she can regain her girlish figure by modifying her diet and increasing her activity - nice walks would be great. I was recommended that Sadie reduce her weight by 5 to 10 pounds. She is currently 52 lb. Sadie is very well behaved. She can be unleashed in the yard and stays with her owners. She knows basic commands such as Come, Sit, Stay, and goes to her own area on a lazy boy in an office when her owner says "room". Sadie has soft liquid brown eyes that can melt your heart. She would be a great dog for a family or for an older person who wants a companion to watch TV and go for nice walks. Sadie has been in a home with other dogs--she prefers dogs smaller than herself, and also has lived with a cat. Sadie will be up to date on vaccines, placed on heartworm and flea meds, and be spayed prior to adoption. Sadie is waiting for that permanent home where she will be cherished for the rest of her life and appreciated for the sweet dog she is.
