Chocolate Labrador Retriever : : Male (neutered) : : Adult : : Large
Bubba is a handsome, 4 year old neutered chocolate lab. He is gentle, friendly and loyal. Bubba walks nicely on a leash, enjoys car rides, and is well behaved. He is very social--his foster is part of a household of young college age women so Bubba gets lots of attention and love. He loves to cuddle and have his belly rubbed. Recently, Bubba went on a mountain retreat with his young foster family and had a great time romping and hiking. He was able to be off leash in this SAFE area and he was very obedient. Bubba met other dogs with whom he had a great time playing and running. He is just a great dog and companion. He knows how to settle down and just enjoy quiet time with his family. He is also crate trained; although he has never been destructive and a crate is not a necessity for him. Bubba came to H2H because he had a nasty skin condition caused by diet and fleas. Bubba is currently on a diet of grain free high quality food which he will need to maintain his health. Bubba is very healthy except he can't have poor quality treats/food. He seems to be allergic to many of the fillers in dog food (corn, wheat, soy, etc.). Bubba is fully vetted, and is on flea and heartworm prevention. Bubba will make a wonderful companion for an active person or family. He is a very special dog! Bubba spent a great deal of time alone in his previous home although he was very loved. He will only be adopted to someone who has plenty of time for him; someone who will keep him socialized (which he loves), and someone who can afford to maintain his healthy diet and healthcare.
