Taffy came to us as a stray; apparently abandoned and left to fend for herself. She probably had a litter or litters of pups and then was turned out. She was terribly thin when found running near a busy highway. Taffy has been spayed and brought up to date with vaccines. She is on interceptor and flea/tick preventative. Taffy was first named Pretty Girl because of her beautiful face and kind dark brown eyes. She had been fostered in a home with college students until a foster home opened within our system. The students reported that she is so loving and has not displayed one bit of aggression--even when they have lots of other students coming and going from their property. She is gaining weight and recovering from spaying. Taffy just lives to cuddle, but she does have a lot of energy. She would make a great dog for someone who runs or hikes. Won't you consider giving this loving dog a forever, home. She will be forever grateful. Update 3/5/2012: Taffy returned to the vet clinic today where she was taken when rescued. She greeted the staff with tail wags and kisses; as if to say, "thank you for making me feel safe and secure". She's a great dog. Update 3/10/2012: Taffy has been in a regular Haven to Home foster home for over a week. She is crate trained, likes car rides, and enjoys long daily walks around town. She is living with a female lab and visits another multi-dog home regularly where she is learning to play well with other dogs. She is quite energetic and playful. It was a challenge to get photos because she didn't hold still for long!
