Rescue ~ Rehab ~ Rehome

Marty is an adorable neutered German Wirehaired Pointer.  He is affectionate and friendly.  Marty is crate trained.  He's still working on house manners as he had lived in a pen for most of his life.  He is learning what belongs to him and what belongs to others :)  He is very playful, loves to do tricks for treats!  He will lay quietly while his foster famly is eating or watching TV.  Marty is good with kids, in fact he loves them.  He is good with other dogs, but he plays hard.  However, when he is told to stop--he does.  He will chase cats if they run--if they stand up to him--he is okay.  He has not been allowed off leash because he follows his nose.  A fenced in yard would be beneficial, but he may do well on inground electronic fencing. 

He still needs some work on leash walking--and would do very well on a HOLT collar.  Marty is vetted and ready for his new forever home.

We provide as much information as we currently have on each dog in their description. We do not arrange visits to meet dogs without an application. If you'd like to meet a variety of dogs without filling out an application please attend one of our events, listed under the events link.
