Maxim is losing his home due to a change in his owner's circumstances.  Maxim is a very healthy 2 year old Saint Bernard.  He weighs about 130 pounds. He has a good coat, good teeth, bright eyes, and moves well.  He is a jovial type of dog.  He did not bark when the evaluator rang the doorbell.  He did not jump, push, bark, or whine.  When the evaluator entered the home the owner asked Maxim to sit and he did.

Maxim knows quite a few commands. During evaluation Maxim exhibited all the right responses. The owner uses a standard harness when walking the dog.  He actually did well on a walk with the evaluator.  He is very large and does need some training, but he pulled no harder than a 70 pound dog on a harness.

It has been reported he does well with other dogs.  Sometimes other dogs stop playing with him because he is soooo big.  He does not have bad intentions.

Maxim may not be the best choice for a family with small children--but he would probably do very well with older children.  We do not know how he responds to cats.  But he does seem to be a gentle giant.

Someone with giant breed experience should do very well with Maxim as he is a sweet, lovable boy.  If you have room for Maxim to live with you, can commit to consistent training/exercise, and have room in your heart, Maxim will reward you by being your faithful companion.

He will be neutered and updated with vaccines before adoption.
