Ruh Roh, George!  Looks like someone abandoned Astro!  He was found as a stray in the middle of the road and a kind passerby stopped, opened the car door and he hopped in.  He didn't have a microchip or any ID.   Our best guess is that he is a lab mix who is around 5 years old.   He presently weighs just over 50 pounds, but should probably weigh closer to 80 pounds.  His worst trait is pulling on leash, but he wants to pull toward the houses he is walking by and will stand on the porch, wanting to get in and "go home".

Astro attaches quickly to his caregivers, a "Velcro-type" dog.  He is so very eager to please and is definitely a "will-work-for-food" guy and will learn obedience quickly.  Astro is crate trained, housetrained, likes car rides and playing fetch, and loves to play with toys.  He does well with other dogs and has not been tested with cats.

Astro is neutered, has been vet checked and is up to date on shots.  He is a great dog looking for a great home.  Will it be you, George?  (Applications accepted even if your name isn't George)
