Henry needs a caretaker or foster! Won't you consider helping him get a new start?
Henry is a 11 month old Rottweiler/Heeler Mix. He looks like a mini Rottweiler but he has the energy and drive of a Heeler. Henry is extremely smart and is a fast learner. He needs a home with a dog-savvy person who will show leadership in all situations. He will not make a good pet for someone who wants a couch-potato dog or someone who likes to let the dog be the boss. He needs to be a hiking or jogging partner. He would be awesome at fly ball, agility, obedience, sheep herding or any other active sport for dogs. Because of his keen herding instincts, a home with children will not be considered. Henry has lived with 7 other dogs and is learning proper etiquette for doggy play, but still plays extremely rough and very hard so a tolerant dog that likes to play would be best. Henry's best buddy is Remington the Australian Cattle dog who is also available for adoption. He plays very well with the cattle dog at the kennel where he is currently staying. He is housetrained and crate trained. He is an incredibly sweet dog that just needs some time and lots of exercise with a person who understands him. He loves to learn and picks up on things very fast. If you think you have what it takes to be Henry’s forever home, please fill out an application today!
