Rescue ~ Rehab ~ Rehome

Kindle is a Rottie/Boxer/MiniGreyhound, who is a little over a year old and weighs around 45-50 pounds.  She came to us when her owner was moving to a rental that did not allow pets.  Her family was heartbroken to give her up.   Kindle is crate trained (although not overly fond of it) and house trained and has always lived with another (smaller) dog and with young children.  Check out her picture playing dress up with the bows in both girls' hair!

The owner told us she is good with kids big or small and OK with other dogs after she is around them a bit.  She was never around cats.

Since coming into our care, she is in a foster home with a cat and they're doing OK (check out the video).   She is adjusting to her new small canine friends in her foster home and recently started to play with them more (see that video too).  She really seems to prefer human companionship, and is more fond of the foster mom, but after a bit of time, is more comfortable with the dad and teen son.  While she was at our holding kennel, she made up with all the volunteers after some initial shyness/fearfulness, but seemed especially fond of the one male volunteer.  In her original home, we're told that she didn't really seem to have a preference --mom/dad/kids-- were all good.   So it seems she may just need some time to settle in.  

She is learning all kinds of new things in her foster home and really has a love of life.   

Kindle was spayed on 4/2 and updated on vaccines.  She is ready for an awesome home and will make an awesome companion to most any family.

We do not arrange visits to meet dogs without an application. If you'd like to meet a variety of dogs without filling out an application please attend one of our events, listed under the events link.
