Pekie is an 8-9 year old Pekingese. He and his big buddy Shadow, Newfie Mix, came into our care when their elderly owner had to go to a nursing care facility. Pekie is good with other dogs, cats, and seems good with people of all ages. He walks OK on leash, likes car rides, and is crate ad housetrained. His most favorite thing is lap time.
His foster mom calls him the sweetest most loveable lap dog who wants to be close to his human and will yip a bit in your absence (almost like he's telling you not to go away from him). He has the sweetest deposition and would be best with someone who can give him lots of time and gentle affection.

We provide as much information as we currently have on each dog in their description. For questions on the adoption process, including fees, please review the Adoption page. If you have additional questions or are interested in adopting, please fill out an adoption application. Once we receive your application someone will be in touch to answer your questions.
We do not arrange visits to meet dogs without an application. If you'd like to meet a variety of dogs without filling out an application please attend one of our events, listed under the events link.
