American Bulldog : : Female : : Adult : : Large
We named her Peaches because this sweet stray is such a PEACH! Peaches is an American Bulldog who is about 3 years old and around 60 pounds.
When she first came to us, she stayed at our holding kennel where all the walkers promptly fell in love with her. She was great with all the other dogs she met there and with all humans too. One of the volunteers took her home for a "cat test" and she didn't even bat an eye at the cat in their home. She has "worked" several events we've held and is quite an ambassador! Peaches is now living in a foster home with 2 other dogs (1 bigger and 1 smaller than her) and is great with both of them. They are often found napping together on the bed or sofa. She is house trained and crate trained. Her worst habit so far has been chewing a couple shoes, so she is crated when home alone. She loves her crate, she eats in it, takes her treats in to enjoy, and goes right in when her family leaves for work. She rides great in the car, walks nicely on leash and does best with a harness, takes treats with just her lips, and will kiss anyone that will accept them from her. Peaches foster mom says: "she takes treats nicer than any dog I have ever been around. She knows basic commands like sit, down (to get off couch or bed), crate (when you want her to get in before leaving the home) and come. Our girl loves treats, cuddling with humans and dogs and attention in general. She loves people and craves attention and loves giving kisses and getting belly rubs. She would love a home that allows her to cuddle on the couch with them and did great with kids when they came to visit us. She really is a wonderful dog."
