Patches is a terribly handsome pit bull who is white and brindle/black with a black eye patch on his right eye. He is 6 years old.

He is so smart! He sits for treats and on command, he knows down (verbal and hand signal commands), speak and shake. He knows focus and touch. He also quickly learned where the refrigerator is (and where the hot dogs are!) at the kennel and will go there and wait to perform. He is quite endearing and one very intelligent dog!

He has lived with another pit, and been around other dogs in public settings. He lived with children and a cat (see photo owner sent us of 2 dogs/2 cats napping together). Patches rides well in the car and is housetrained. He is a little pully on leash, but his owner said he did well for him on a harness, and we saw improvement in just a few days at our kennel.

His is a sad owner-relinquish story due to some personal problems his owner encountered. Patches has been passed around a bit lately and is a bit thin. But he is well-adjusted, healthy and happy.

Patches is thriving in his foster home where his foster mom continues to expand his mind with new training. He loves it! His ideal new home will be one that continues to work with him.

He is neutered and just had his vaccines updated and had the usual parasite testing and treatment as all our dogs have. He is ready for a loving, responsible, forever home that will appreciate what a great dog and smart guy this dog is!

We do not arrange visits to meet dogs without an application. If you'd like to meet a variety of dogs without filling out an application please attend one of our events, listed under the events link.
