Beagle (short coat) : : Male (neutered) : : Adult : : Medium
UPDATE: Abbey and Hunter came to stay at our holding facility last night because their family can no longer care for them. Immediately this bonded pair captured our hearts. They have such happy sweet faces just begging to be loved. What little cuddlebugs. Of course, they are a bit confused as they have no idea how they have gone from living in a home environment to a kennel. But rest assured -- WE LOVE THEM. Please beagle lovers - can't you make room for two more "couch potatoes" who will love you unconditionally :)
Abbey and Hunter are 8 year old beagle brother and sister who have always lived together. They are house trained, spayed/neutered, and up to date on vaccines. Hunter is a little bigger at 37 pounds, and Abbey is 25 pounds. They have not been around cats that we're aware of, but they are a pretty mellow pair. They have been around children, and are OK with that, but would probably prefer older more mellow kids. Abbey and Hunter are accustomed to their doggy door and a fenced yard, but do enjoy leash walks as well. They are fine with other dogs they meet out and about, usually just sniffing curiously (in true beagle fashion!). Neither play with toys much (a cost savings!) but do enjoy human attention and affection.
They have been living with a family for the past 2 years where mom worked from home.. Mom recently got a new job that takes her away from the house for long periods of time. The family has discovered that Hunter and Abbey prefer to have more human companionship than their busy lifestyle now allows and want to find them a home where someone is home more and they will be happier.
If you're a beagle lover who is looking for a great pair of companions, please consider adding Abbey and Hunter to your family. They will be a great addition to a new family who spends time at home and enjoys giving beagle belly rubs and getting adoring hound dog kisses in return.
