CoCo Puff 10/23/2011: Here is one for the Happy Tales. CoCo is so excited (can't you tell with those soulful eyes) for his trick or treaters. He already done his rounds and got lots of treats in his neighborhood from his buddies. I heard MOM say he is so sweet he has to go as Kandy Korn... I really don't feel any sweeter than before but I believe everything she says.:) you know Mother Knows Best... I hope everyone has a great howl a ween night. We are all pumped up here. I love my new home and hope and pray all my friends at Haven to Home get as lucky as I got. Sloppy sloppy slickey licks to all.
Cuddles Look how far little Lily has come since Peggy handed her over to me all shaggy and dirty. She is just the happiest little girl and she's no wall flower like I was afraid she'd be.
CoCo Hi Haven to Home, I’ve been meaning to write and let you know how things are going in my forever home. My life is good! I am adored and pampered as I should be. My humans cater to my every whim and desire; I have trained them well. It took my humans a few tries but they finally understood I have discriminating tastes. I only like Chiquita banana’s not Dole bananas. I refuse to eat Dole’s or any other brand, I like apple slices but don’t give me melons, yuk. I prefer Chobani vanilla or plain yogurt however I will eat other brands if the fruit is all mixed together. I act really silly when I want a treat, I race around my humans, sit up and beg or vocalize a pitiful whine and they just melt. Of course I get my treat. My brothers and sister join in on the fun and it’s a mad house. My parents laugh at us all sitting in a row begging but it works, we get the goodies! My humans say I make them laugh; I snore, they laugh. I run through the yard they laugh. I bark at a bird, they laugh. I do my sausage roll, they laugh. Everything I do is so funny, they must be really simple! Mom and dad understand I do things in my own time. If I’m enjoying my bone and they tell me it’s time to go out I ignore them, I’ll go when I’m ready. It’s called Chipe’s 5 Second Delay. I do things on a 5 second delay, things like come, stay, sit, sit pretty, down, those kind of things. If food or treats or a ride in the car is involved I’m right there on time! My humans tell everyone I have a small body but a big personality and it’s true. My big brother Riley and I have a good time with our chew bones. Actually, they are all mine. I just let Riley chew on them. I try to keep them all on my blanket but he goes and moves them. He drives me crazy. Sometimes Riley is chewing on a bone and I chew on the other end. Riley is good about sharing and he never minds when I steal the bone away from him. He keeps forgetting all the bones are mine! All eight bones are mine, there might be more but I can’t count that high. The big dogs are so protective of me. If I bark they come running and stand over me or next to me and bark even though they don’t know why I’m barking but they watch out for me. We all get along so well. Cats included. Cats are good to curl up against if it’s a little chilly and mom and dad aren’t sitting on the couch, they do nicely in a pinch. Plus they give me a few licks on my forehead. My humans like that I sleep with them even though dad says I’m a bed hog and a pillow hog. My humans worried that I might be cold in the winter so they bought me a pretty blue bed that they placed between their pillows so now I have a bed within a bed and it even came with a soft cuddly blanket. We even went winter coat shopping for me since I don’t tolerate the cold. I liked all the attention I got when trying on new coats! Everyone told mom and dad what a handsome boy I am. Like I didn’t already know that! Mom and Dad had the bright idea they were going to teach me to play fetch with a tennis ball. Riley showed me how to chase the tennis ball and bring it back. Well I ran after the ball just to make mom and dad happy but I grabbed the ball and sat down. I wasn’t about to bring it back to them because they were just going to throw it again and again. Besides, Mom has a basket with a whole lot of tennis balls. Fetch isn’t for me! My daytime mom likes having me to herself most days and I like being with her, she gives me yogurt. I entertain her by rolling on my back and falling asleep. Day mom likes that I follow her around the house. We play with the cat toys together. She calls me half pint. Daytime mom gives the best chin rubs, I’ll go anything for a chin rub. My human brother comes to visit me every day. He thinks I’m cool for a non large dog. Don’t call me small. My human brother wasn’t fond of non large dogs until he met me. I sure changed his mind. He calls me silly. Don’t know why everyone calls me silly! I make him laugh too! My human sister happened to visit one day when my mom and dad were giving me a bath. She saw how much fun it is bathing me that she comes and gives me my bubble treatment. She doesn’t want mom and dad to bath me unless she is there. Can you imagine humans arguing over who is going to bath me? She pampers me and talks so softly to me and rocks me like a baby. Boy do I have them wrapped around my little paw. My mom and dad and my daytime mom couldn’t love me any more. Yes, life is good. I think I’ll stay. Best wishes and hoping all my canine friends find a forever home, Chipe Noonan Click a letter to find an animal or view all.
