Frisky
Ohmy goodness, yes! She eats dry dog food only (and loves it)...not that she doesn't want people food....she just doesn't get people food. She uses the yard perfectly, now.... (we had to give her treats as a prize when she went into the yard and 'Go potty'd.) Now she runs outside to the yard with the boys and plays. She certainly made herself at home...and to see her playing with our other Puggle, Stanley, you'd laugh your head off. Really really funny! She is always smiling and giving kisses. No messes in the house aside from that first day. When she gets the 'NO!' and finger pointed at her for something she shouldn't do....she krinkles her nose and pulls her lips up like she's going to cry. Again...it's really cute. She either sleeps in bed with us, or jumps off the bed and lays in the dirty clothes basket. She knew her new name in a few short days...she is SOOOOOOO smart. She learned the steps to get on our bed with one showing. She is a doll, and a perfect addition to the family. Everyone loves her...and she loves everyone. Not a mean bone in her body. She seems to realllly love my fiancee', Bill. When we're on our recliners watching TV at night (and she WATCHES TV, too....even so much as to tilt her head when a certain noise comes on...hysterical!) she jumps up and squishes in with him. It's adorable. OK....I think you get the picture...we absolutely LOVE her. She helped heal our hearts.

Rocky Blaine
It has been four months since Rocky, on the right, joined our family and we couldn’t imagine life without him! Here he is with big “brother” Chance, who is delighted to once again have a playmate – these guys are experts at playing and bonded instantly. Rocky is doing very well – he has put on some needed weight and is a very loving and well behaved dog. We are thankful to Haven to Home for helping Rocky become a part of our lives.

Happy Summer from Harrisburg!
I am so pleased to announce that this Saturday, August 10, Stanley and I will be celebrating our 1 year anniversary – can you believe it?! We are doing so well – he is a delight, and he is sooooooo smart! I am madly in love with him! Check him out in the attached pictures – he is such a ham! He has been beating the heat by hanging out at my girlfriend’s pool! Although he does swim, it’s only briefly, as he clearly prefers hanging out on the float. I’ve entered both pictures in the Castaway Critters Rescue Pet Photo contest – with any luck, he’ll win and be a featured pet in their 2014 calendar! And since they ask which rescue the contestants were adopted from, if he wins, I’m hoping Haven2Home gets some well-deserved recognition!
Stanley was a homebody over the winter, but has enjoyed a fairly active lifestyle this summer. We are getting ready to go to the beach house for a weekend in August, the full week of Labor Day, and again in October and November. He really gets his exercise there because we walk the boardwalk early to watch the sunrise each morning. He loves to travel and I take him on errands with me whenever weather permits. He enjoys regular play-dates, and he also attended the first annual “Mutt Mingle,” an employee and pet social that was held over lunch at my work recently, where he shared his first hot dog with Mommy (which was a very special treat since he gets no people food except raw baby carrots for his bedtime snack). He got along well with all of the other dogs, and entered contests where he also won an award for “Most Talented!”
We are just lovin’ life, and thank you once again – for all that you do for homeless pets, and for bringing Stan and I together. It’s been a great year and we are looking forward to many, many more…
xoxo

Hello,
I wanted to write to you to share this photo of our dog that we adopted through Haven To Home last November. Flynn, formerly Stephen, recently celebrated his first birthday and our five year old daughter picked out a new chew toy for his birthday present.
Our family wants you to know that we are so grateful to you for allowing us to adopt this great puppy! He was only three months old when he came to live with us, but he was almost completely house trained thanks to his wonderful foster mom. He is always eager to please so he has been easy to train. He loves to play and "talks" a lot. We love him very much.
Sincerely,
Jaye
Sara
Thank you so much Robin and H2H for dealing with us when we caught Sara, when we were in the process of trying to find her former owner, and when we decided to adopt her. She has been a real blessing to our family and it feels like she has been here forever. We are happy to have to opportunity to have her as a member of our family. Here is one photo I took this morning. It is Miss Violet walking Sara. I do want to take some more of all the kids and Sara, but I'll send them later.
