Black Jack 12/24/11: Lando (formerly Blackjack) is doing great. We had Mark Cusick work with him alittle bit to get him ready for our new addition. We had Addie in July and he is a great big brother. The only problem is Lando thinks Addie is trying to play when she throws her pacifier and he goes and gets it like a good boy. We will have to work on that one:) I attached a picture of Lando and one of him helping Addie with tummy time. Happy Holidays!
Babe 2/10/11: Dear Haven to Home, I am so glad to have found Lexy! She is a wonderful companion and has truly made my apartment feel like home to me. It took her a little while to become comfortable here, but now she loves sitting on my window seat to watch for squirrels outside. She also loves going on our daily walks down to the park. Of course her favorite activity is to have her belly scrached, which I do a lot! She is a sweet, wonderful dog and I'm so happy to have found her. Sincerely, Amanda
Babe Bea Feb 2011: From the minute we arrived home Babe Bea has adapted well. Her relationship with her dog pal, Chloe, began with a rocky start but they are now getting along well. We have renamed Babe Bea to Bee as she flies around - like a bee. She was never off a chain or lead before but is now running one plus acres of invisible fence without a breach. She is very intelligent and training to the fence took about two weeks. She is a great watch dog - her keen hearing and subsequent barking alert us to visitors, etc. She greets people with a bark but no other aggression. Our son Bob loves having a younger dog to play fetch with, chase around, etc. We are glad to be her forever family and she is helping ease the sadness of the loss of our dog, Trey. God Bless you all for all that you do and many thanks from Bee.
Baron Von Bear 1/12/10: Just a quick update......Bear is doing great! He has adjusted well to being a house dog. Housetraining is going well. We are working on a few additional commands like down and stay. Not free to mingle with other animals yet, but we're doing supervised time off leash with other animals and so far so good. There's just no hurry to have them all loose together, no reason to risk any injuries. He is really a doll. I have researched harnesses, and am getting a weight pulling harness for him. He will be pulling mulch around in the wagon this spring. I think he'll like the challenge. He's doing great on the leash for walks, a real gentleman now. He gets too excited when playing and gets real pushy, forgets himself and manners, so we will continue to work on that. But overall, he has been a real blessing to our lives. Attached is pic of him making himself at home. Thanks for giving us such a wonderful companion!! I will continue to update you in the future if you don't mind. Happy New Year!
