Dharma

The Riley's are absolutely thrilled to have Dharma as one of their "kids" and can't wait to show her off. Their friends were calling while I was there and Joanne's 90 yr. old mother is extremely excited. She will be visiting this weekend along with their niece. Dharma made herself at home almost immediately, checking out the house, then planting herself in front of the window with the best view. She did get up to trot out to the kitchen every time Joanne went and eventually won herself a biscuit. Dave and Joanne invited us (I took Rosie) to lunch and we accepted gratefully. Dave feeds Lily and Roggie 2 slices of fat free Deli Select turkey at lunchtime and Dharma very much enjoyed sharing. He may have to increase to 3 slices! Dave, Dharma, Rosie and I took a walk around the pond after lunch and Rosie got to go wading and chased a bird while Dharma pulled Dave from place to place so she could check everything out. She was standing at the gate with the rest of the family when we left probably wondering why she wasn't going along, but I left without a tear in my eye. She couldn't be in a better place, she will have many years of the good life with them.

Flash

In June we adopted 12 year old Flash who was joined by 9 year old Lexi in July. They have become best buddies in a few short weeks! Their pack also includes our cat Cali. We could not be happier with these two senior dogs who enjoy life at a pace that is calm companionship. They take walks with us several times a day. They hang out with us wherever we are in the house and outside. They have just discovered that rabbits live in the back yard - hopefully the rabbits will be moving elsewhere soon! And they particularly like car rides. They love being with us and we with them. Thank you Haven to Home for these two wonderful senior dogs! Sharon and Jeff Koppel

Hello...I wanted to send you a quick note and let you know how the puppy is doing. Well his name is Gibbs now...Pop-Pop started calling him Gibbs while I was at work because I wasn't sure about a name yet and he didn't know what else to call him. Pop loves NCIS and one of the characters is Gibbs so the name stuck. Needless to say Gibbs is very spoiled by Nanny and Pop (and me of course). Gibbs LOVES Hulk! We go for walks on the trail together and now we all started to run together. Gibbs does not like to swim though. He watches Hulk swim in the pool but he hates getting wet. :( Gibbs goes to puppy class and has a trainer named Paul. He plays with the other pups but is very shy. He started to warm up to the other dogs in the past few weeks. He loves hugs, loves his toys, and treats and wrestling with Hulk but he also LOVES to eat everything and is a walking tornado. haha Gibbs loves his cozy blue crate but he often sleeps in bed with mommy or grammy and Hulk. He is allowed on the furniture but doesn't sit still long enough to enjoy it. I am attaching two pics that were taken at a park by a professional photographer. I am pretty sure Gibbs is very happy and he has been a blessing for all of us....including Hulk. :) Thanks again, Helene & Gibbs

August 23, 2011 Update: I just wanted to give you a update for mason, He was to the vets today for his 16 week checkup.. Believe this he weights 42 lbs.!!!!! for 4 months old he is the size of my other dog Hailey....LOL He is a very quick learner on his commands.... and since we took down my grandsons pool he has found my pond !! What a swimmer...lol Hope all is well with all the other puppies... if you need help at any time please contact me !!!

Lucas is loving his new family, including the cat! Lucus ( we decided on Mason ) is doing well!! Keeping him out of my flowers and the pool is somewhat of a challenge, but in all he is learning as we are.. He now sits, speaks and sometimes shakes hands( paws) lol... for only 10 weeks, I feel he is ahead of the game!! I hope you get this if not i will call. Again I'm sending pics to show him at his best!! Thanks again!! desiree
