Sweet Dori was brought to H2H by our county dog warden. She and two small dogs were found in a wooded area about 5-6 miles out of town.  It is assumed they were abandoned.  Dori couldn't be any sweeter or more lovable.  She's small enough to pick up and fit onto a lap for cuddle time.  Dori REQUIRES a home with another friendly dog to play with and an active owner.  So far, she has learned to sit and wait to be fed--she takes treats nicely and is learning to walk on a leash; best of all--she knows her name and comes when you call her!  Before meals, she takes herself to her crate, sits and waits to be fed (without being directed). Although her age was estimated at 2 years old--we're pretty sure she's a year younger.  This happy little girl is so puppy like.  Dori is crate trained, but she will NOT do well crated for long periods. She sleeps in a crate beside her foster's bed at night and sleeps quietly until she asks to go out around 6:30 a.m.  Dori is housetrained and hasn't had any accidents in a long time.  Whomever adopts Dori, needs to be patient, kind and prepared to continue her training.

When she came into our home, she ignored our cats--but our own four dogs taught her chasing the kitties is fun.  She probably should go to a home without cats or with cats who are dog savvy.

Dori was spayed and had her dew claws removed. She is patiently  waiting for her forever home. Dori is on monthly flea/tick/heartworm prevention and she is microchipped.
