Benjamin Button spent the first 18 months of his life in a puppy mill. He was relinquished due to a heart murmur. Unfortunately, his murmur is not a grade 2 as we were told, it's much worse. A Grade 5/6 murmur with enlarged heart.
Enjoying life outside of a cage for the first time in 18 months, Ben is starting to show a puppy personality. He loves cuddling and is showing interest in toys and he's already made his way to sleeping in his human's bed at night. Ben is living with four other dogs and two cats. Basically ignoring the cats, he does just fine with both big and small dogs. Benjamin has been given time off leash and readily comes when called. Though he does have a very serious heart issue, Ben gets the zoomies and runs with such great "joy". Our hope for Ben is that he is able to have quality time in a loving environment for whatever time he is given.
