Tabby Tabasco (just Tabby to her friends) is a 6 year old, six pound, chocolate colored Chihuahua girl. She is tiny but mighty and is comfortable around dogs big or small and is fine with cats. Many cats are bigger than she is!

Tabby is being re-homed because her mom had to go into a nursing home and could no longer take care of her. She had only been with her Mom for 2 1/2 years. Tiny girl had been adopted from a NY shelter. Poor little thing needs and deserves to finally go to her forever home and live a long and happy life.

She is a wonderful walker and easily goes three miles with or without a dog buddy. Tabby is good in the car and is crate trained. She would love to be a little bed buddy with a new owner as she was in her past life. Amazingly, with frequent trips and encouragement, she has been clean in the house!

Quiet, shy, and skittish around people, Tabby would not be a good fit for a home with small children. She is bonding in her foster home, but it will take time for her to feel at home again. She is spayed, UTD on vaccines and on flea/tick/heartworm meds. If you think you have what it takes to give Tabby Tabasco a forever home, please apply today at Haven To Home Canine Rescue. Applications are the first step in the adoption process. Please do not call or email simply to express interest. We are all volunteers and receiving your application saves us time and helps to determine the best match for both people and dogs.

We provide as much information as we currently have on each dog in their description. For questions on the adoption process, including fees, please review the Adoption page. If you have additional questions or are interested in adopting, please fill out an adoption application. Once we receive your application someone will be in touch to answer your questions.

We do not arrange visits to meet dogs without an application. If you'd like to meet a variety of dogs without filling out an application please attend one of our events, listed under the events link.
