Iroiquois "Koy" is an 8 year old, larger mixed breed. The vets are guessing a Newfoundland/Lab mix. He is in the 80-100 pound range.

He is a laid back guy who lived most of his life outside, but has adjusted quickly and well to being indoors.  He does well with other dogs and loves people.

Koy came to us after having not much vet care, he was neutered and had some other health issues tended to.   When we picked him up from his appointment, the Vet and Vet tech both praised him.  He was so good that they didn't even kennel him after surgery. He just followed the staff around the room.   He was nonreactive to the other dogs and cats in the waiting room.  He traveled well in car (LOVES car rides!).

Koy is in a foster home with another dog and they do well together.  He enjoys just hanging out and chilling (see photo of him snoozing on the dog bed).

Koy is looking for a retirement home where he can go for some nice easy walks, take some car rides, and hang out with his humans on the sofa.

Click here for the ADOPTION APPLICATION if you are interested in adopting this pet.

Applications are the first step in the adoption processPlease do not call or email simply to express interest. We are all volunteers and receiving your application saves us time and helps to determine the best match for both people and dogs.

We provide as much information as we currently have on each dog in their description. For questions on the adoption process, including fees, please review the Adoption page. If you have additional questions or are interested in adopting, please fill out an adoption application. Once we receive your application someone will be in touch to answer your questions.

We do not arrange visits to meet dogs without an application. If you'd like to meet a variety of dogs without filling out an application please attend one of our events, listed under the events link.

 Thank you!
