Maggie M won't be in rescue long when the word gets out what a great dog she is. Everyone who has met Maggie has fallen in love with her loving, willing to please demeanor. Though she wants your attention so badly, she is not pushy, but rather shyly offers her paw to anyone who looks her way. If you sit down on the floor, she tries to curl right into your lap. She is just the sweetest. Maggie M has been tied to a shabby doghouse for quite some time--but the vet staff believes she will be easy to housetrain as she never soiled her pen; she waited to be taken outside. Not sure how she is with children but we are guessing that this loving dog will be great with any age group. All she really seems to want is affection and approval. Her foster mom picked her up at the vet's office today; she settled right down in the backseat of the car and rode quietly. If you or someone you know is looking for a loyal loving companion--tell them to apply as soon as possible.
UPDATE: After just a few days in her foster home, Maggie has proven to be housebroken. She also walks well on leash, does fine when crated, gets along with the other dog in the home, and is an overall good dog who is eager to please and is happy for attention.

We do not arrange visits to meet dogs without an application. If you'd like to meet a variety of dogs without filling out an application please attend one of our events, listed under the events link.
