Monte is a big, lovable, energetic, happy go lucky two year old Great Dane/Shepherd mix. He came to our rescue because his owners had financial problems and couldn't afford to keep him. He is good with everyone he meets and seems to love kids. If given the opportunity Monte will spend hours playing with other dogs or playing with his toys. A country home or large fenced in yard with lots of room to run and play is preferred for Monte. He would do well with a very active person or family (hiking, biking, running, swimming). He will play fetch, although he won't necessarily bring the ball back yet. Monte is good with other dogs and with older children. Monte is looking for his truly forever home this time. Monte is neutered, has all his vaccines and is on Interceptor and K-9 Advantix for heartworm prevention and flea/tick prevention.
If you are looking for a loyal and great best friend, Monte just might be the guy for you.
