Nana came to us as an emaciated, underweight stray, with missing hair and a broken spirit.  After lots of TLC, she has blossomed into an AMAZING dog.  Her foster mom already knows she is going to shed some major tears when this girl goes to her forever home.

Initially, we thought she was a senior, but her teeth are pretty white, and since she has gained weight and has had some love poured into her, she is acting much younger and more spry.  Her foster mom actually calls her "Baby" rather than "Nana"!  Have had a couple guesses on her age ranging from 5-10 years old.

She appears to be a Sharpei/boxer mix and is a healthy, muscular 66 pounds now with a soft, sleek coat.   She does well with the other dogs (both male and female) in her foster home and is learning to play.  She is quite assured and is happy to tell her foster mom when it's time to eat, go outside, or she is ready for bed. She also gladly tattles on her canine siblings if she thinks they are doing something they shouldn't be.  She loves to be close and follows her foster mom both inside and outside.  She walks well on a leash and loves car rides.  She is housebroken, very well behaved and does not need to be crated in the house.

"Nana Baby" is going to be a devoted companion to her forever family and they will be most fortunate to have her join their family.
