Remmie

HAPPY TAILS~~Remmie and Thade!!

(We especially love our adopters who come back for a second (or more!) dog after adopting ONE dog from us. And when they are BOTH SENIOR dogs....well we're over the edge happy!!)

Here is an update on REMMIE, a coonhound who was adopted last year and on THADE, who was just adopted just a few weeks ago.

Here is the Thade/Remmie update from their mom:

Thade/Remmie update:

We are happy to report Thade is doing wonderfully in his new home! We absolutely LOVE and adore him and are so thankful he found his way to us.  He is gentle and loving and a perfect companion for Remmie (also adopted from Haven to Home).  He enjoys walks and car rides (when he knows we're going he gets excited and makes a chomping sound with his teeth which is adorable) and seems to be quite comfortable on his dog bed or the couch when sleepy.  He has had a visit to the vet which revealed the need to continue working on his ears.  They look better each day and we will be re-visiting the vet in about two weeks for a follow-up.  Thade has lost his extra pounds and he is now weighing in at about 104 (he came into H2H at 120!).

Overall, he is doing exceptionally well and we feel like he has been part of our family for much longer than the few weeks he's been here.  We wish we could have met him long ago.

Remmie is doing relatively well also.  We continue using medication and acupuncture to keep him comfortable.  He is able to go on walks daily, but we keep the length limited.  He, too, enjoys car rides and walks to the local coffee shop.  He is still shy with strangers, but at home we've seen him grow in terms of his ability to trust and love.  He, too, is adored!

HAPPY TAIL~ Bayo!

This handsome Weim was among our first adoptions when Haven to Home Canine Rescue was brand new. Sure looks like he found a good way to beat the nasty cold.

His mom just sent us this note:
"Bayo came to his forever home 6/29/08 when he was 4 yrs old & he is loving life indoors. ..rescue dogs are the best!"

Cosmo had a wonderful Christmas! He didn't want to wait till Christmas morning to open presents though so he stole one and ran in his cage lol!  After that Cosmo and Lacy girl just relaxed In front of their presents!  Lol

He loved opening his presents and he even helped Lacy since she was slow!
