Rex A. Roo

Happy in his new home, Rex got to visit Santa this year!

Trapper

We call him Trapper and he may be responding to it a bit. He is also getting pretty good at sit. He is eating well and sleeps well in his crate (and has since his first night). We really only had potty issues the first day and occasional "I am excited" dribbles. He walks pretty well on leash and loves his squeaky toys--don't think it will be hard to teach him to fetch since he usually brings the squeaky toy back to me--no matter who throws it. AT first he wouldn't go for a walk with Anna (the oldest) by herself without whining, but he is getting better. He definitely likes to be with me. He had a lot of fun playing in the snow this morning. He seems very friendly with people and we haven't had any problems having him meet people but he seems more cautious around other dogs than maybe I expected given that he was around so many with you. The girls adore him and fight over who gets to do what--though only Anna and I walk him. We have an appointment with the vet next week--just to get me on a schedule with them and a training lesson next week too. I think he will learn very quickly if we are consistent. He really is a great dog, will play with the girls and then chill out in the evening or at the office--he has picked a favorite chair in my office or tries to sit on my lap when I type. We are very happy with him and so grateful he had a great place with you.

Thanks, Emily

Bronx

Just wanted to send you an update on Bronx and share some pictures. He has become part of our family in such a short time. The kids love having a dog to play with especially my youngest. He is always laying on the floor with him or throwing his ball. Bronx is doing very well at settling into a routine. He didn't like when my husband went to work on Monday because they had bonded quickly but it didn't take long for him and I to bond too. He still loves to jump on people to greet them but we are working on that and making progress. He is learning that he only gets the attention he wants when he sits, but the puppy in him sometimes forgets. We haven't regretted adopting Bronx for a moment and are thankful that we could give a home. I attached a few pictures...

A very happy family,
Mark & Kendra

Riki

It's been a year of great happiness! I love Rikki so much! She is doing great and loves all her kitties! Thank you so much for giving her a forever home with me!

Anna

Dear Haven To Home,

We are so grateful to have Annabelle (Anna) in our lives. It will be one year Jan. 13th since we've adopted Annabelle. This will be her first Christmas with us and we can't wait to spoil her with gifts. She already got her new monogrammed collar and leash her daddy couldn't wait till Christmas to give it to her. The one picture I've attached is of her and her daddy watching the train under the Christmas tree. She was afraid of the train at first (I think she thought it was a new animal) but she has gotten used to it now.

She also gets along great with our two cats Hudson and Peach as you can see from the pictures. The one night I went in and she was sleeping on our bed and the cat was laying on her, but she didn't even seem to notice.

Annabelle has so much love to give we brought her down to Hershey for my parents Thanksgiving and she was the center of attention. She even did well around little children letting them pet and hug her.

Another picture I attached was from when Annabelle and I went to Petsmart and she jumped into my trunk, thinking she was going to ride home like that. The picture of her with the purple bows is from her first haircut. We were worried about taking her to a groomer because she has bad separation anxiety we thought she would be scared. But the groomer said she was so loving and warmed up quickly to her. Annabelle still has her English Setter instincts, her favorite thing to do is stare out the windows at all the birds and squirrels in the yard.

Merry Christmas from our family,

Taryn, Kevin, Annabelle, Peach and Hudson
