Black Labrador Retriever : : Male (neutered) : : Adult
Waldo's forever family must be REALLY special because it's taking them awhile to find him! He is thriving and has come to be very loved in his foster home over the last few months, but is still waiting for his forever home that may have a fenced yard or be a property with lots of room to run and safely explore. We can't quite figure out why lab lovers aren't lining up for this dog who is described by his foster mom, as "almost perfect" so here is some updated information and new photos of this great handsome dog. Please pass this along....maybe you know his forever home!
Waldo is about 2 years old, a black lab who is a love of a dog.
Here is what his foster family has to say about him: He's big, but thinks he's a lap dog, or at least a couch potato. Waldo isn't very brave and he'll never be mistaken for a watch dog, but he's a wonderful companion who loves to be close to his family. Waldo does well with cats, but would like one to play with him someday. He loves other dogs and ALL people. He does okay on a leash, but will run if he's not tethered or on a leash. It's a great way to get some exercise and Waldo thinks it's a really fun game, but we keep him attached when he's outside. Waldo loves to sit in the sun so a fenced-in yard is a big plus. He's housebroken and loves to chew only on dog toys. Waldo knows the sit and stay commands and he takes things gently from one's hand. Waldo is a firm believer in mental telepathy and will try to convince one with his big, brown eyes that he really needs to try that sandwich in one's hand or whatever is on one's fork. He will make an active family a wonderful pet!
Waldo is housetrained and does not need to be in a crate when his foster family is away. He sleeps in his dog bed at night--close to the side of his foster mom's bed. He doesn't like thunder, but loves his canine foster sister.
Waldo is up to date on vaccines, neutered, on heartworm and flea/tick prevention.
