Lincoln I just wanted to update you on our first day with Lincoln. Last night he and Marlie slept right smack dab in the middle of us and we got woken up with kisses from Lincoln! He made it all the way through the night without getting up or needing to go potty. He went out first thing with Marlie and he went to the bathroom outside (no accidents!). And then he ate his full breakfast and later his full dinner and found a new favorite toy. He seems to really be opening up today. He found his favorite spot on the couch and jumps up on his own. We got a harness and car seat buckle for him and I set up his folder with all his important information in it. Everything is going great and we are so happy and Lincoln seems to be too. I'm in love with him!
Wesley Update: August 2015: Wesley's family welcomed a baby girl to the family. Here he snuggles with mom and the new addition! Congratulations to Wesley and his family! Wesley is home with a family that is totally in love with him!
Chancey A couple weeks ago Chance wore his Miami Dolphins jersey and enjoys watching football and pro-wrestling, he was truly meant for his new family. His dad did say that he felt Chance was more a Steelers fan though because he went up to the TV to give Big Ben a kiss, so now he owns a Steelers jersey as well.
Bruce Every night before I go to bed I say a prayer of gratitude that I was rescued and found a forever home. That means I am not out running the street, I am not cold or lonely or scared or hungry. Now, I get to go to the vets and have regular checkups and I have lots of good food every single day. Wow, I never knew it was suppose to be like this! I go on these walks with my humans and we even go to the dog park and to the Marina. I love my new home! But like most things, it’s a two way street. My mom was really sad when I came to her house because her brother and her niece had just died a couple of days before. I figured out really quickly that she was going need me to make her laugh and would need a ton of loving. So every morning, like clockwork, I crawl under the covers and cuddle up with my mom. After some serious loving, I help my mom get dressed by bringing her shoes and socks to her. Actually she’s always getting me to do things for her, shut doors, pick stuff up and put my toys away. It’s really important that I make my humans laugh so I zip around the house, look at them with eyes that melt their hearts, and they really crack up when I “talk” to them. I have learned a ton of tricks just to keep them amused. You can see that I have some serious responsibilities at my new home. One of my most important jobs is to make sure my mom goes out for a walk a couple of times a day. These humans really need to get some fresh air and sunshine and I am just the guy to make sure they do. Oh yeah, I have a handicapped fur brother who’s getting older. He doesn’t have any teeth and only has one eye, so I have to look out for him too. He was really afraid of dogs, but he loves me almost as much as my humans do. I think tonight when I go to bed, I am going to say a prayer that all the lost, deserted, sick, and old dogs out there get to find a loving home where they can do important things like me. My real name is Prozac because my mom says I’ve been like a little anti-depressant, but if you see me around you can just call me: Zac
